How to get to Nova Gorica


BY CAR
You can reach Nova Gorica from different directions:

BY TRAIN

From Gorizia to Bled by oldtimer train:
Departure from the railway station of Gorizia (Italy), Nova Gorica (Slo) and Most na Soči (Slo) to a unique Oldtimer train ride. The Oldtimer train will be pulled by a steam engine from the Railway Museum of Ljubljana. Following the formalities at the frontier the train will get to the nearby station of Nova Gorica (Slovenia) and from there on the ride will continue on the Transalpina railway, passing the landscape of incomparable and numerous beauties and along the wonderful Soča and Sava river. Arrival at the Bled station and transfer by bus to a guided tour of the castle. Lunch in a restaurant above the lake follows.
After lunch some free-time for visiting the town and the lake, one of the most beautiful renowned sites of Slovenia. A guide will be accompanying the passengers for the whole ride in the Oldtimer train. In the afternoon transfer back to the station and the return ride by train pulled by a steam engine and in the evening arrival at the respective stations of departure.
