TIC Nova Gorica
Rožna Dolina is an elongated settlement located at 86 m above sea level, along the 4 km long valley carrying the same name and stretching from Ajševica to the State border. The valley is bounded by the slopes of Stara Gora and Mark’s hill to the south and by Panovec forest to the north.
The concentrated settlements are located at the bottom of the valley itself and on the nearby slopes. Near the crossroads close to former international border crossing, a residential quarter has grown up since the second world. A special characteristic of Rožna Dolina is the Jewish cemetery, a very rare monument on Slovenian soil. Due to its location, the age of tombstones and their artistic and historic value, the cemetery is a monument of national importance.
